Resource Center For Educational Technology EDUSAT Introduction EDUSAT is also known as GSAT-3. EDUSAT was India’s first full fledged educational satellite. It’s first operational flight took place on 20th September 2004 from the Satish Dhawan Space Center Sriharikota. The projected life of the EDUSAT was 7 to 10 years. EDUSAT is a combination of “EDUCATION” “SATELLITE” which in its broad sense means education through satellite.
